(Q) Is it safe to buy books online?

 (A)  Its as safe as buying goods in a shop - and probably safer than buying by telephone.

(Q)  Does it matter which country I am in?

(A)  No - if we have a distributor near you, we will attempt to automatically select that on your behalf.  If we select the wrong shipping desination, please use the drop down menu to correct it.  Some North American sellers will only ship within the US, but many UK sellers ship internationally.

(Q)  I keep getting results from the wrong country!

(A)  If you use Windows, go to Control Panel, and check your Regional Settings.  Make sure that your Country setting is correct.  If we don't have a nearby distributor, we will suggest many book distributors by default.

(Q)  How do I use ISBNbookfinder to get the ISBN of a book?

(A) Use either the author or title search boxes - if there is a record of the book in the database, the ISBN will appear in the search results on the right hand side of the results table.  We'd ask that you then buy that book, which will compensate us for running this website.

(Q)  I searched for a book by typing in the author/title, how do I buy that book?

(A)  Its easy - there should be links which glow blue in the table, named 'Buy from' and then the name of the book distributor - click on those 'hyperlinks' to buy the books.

(Q) Is it cheaper or more expensive to use this website?

(A) Its definitely not more expensive, and can often save you money.  We make a small commission from the book distributor, but its taken out at their end - so you pay no more.  You can use our web site to save hundreds of dollars per year, the more you use it, the more you will save.

(Q)  Why use this particular book search facility?

(A)  Its very very fast compared to others - and time is money!

(Q)  What about second-hand books?

(A)  Some books are completely out-of-print and unavailable.

(A)  Really?  Well, we're sorry - although we have access to a HUGE database, it may not be complete.
